Jordan and Russell from 2LG Studio conceived this concept in 2023 and held the first iteration at Truman Brewery. Born from the challenges they faced breaking into the design industry and being made to feel like outsiders, this concept addresses a universal experience in the art world: the sense of exclusion and the quest for validation.
 
Within the art industry, it’s undeniable that anyone can feel like an outsider, sensing there is no seat for them at the proverbial ‘table.’ Artists frequently question their work and their identity, often comparing themselves to others. As a new gallery in London, we sometimes grapple with doubts about our approach and whether people will believe in us. We can be our own harshest critics. This exhibition serves as a rebuttal to that mindset. It asserts that there is a seat for everyone.
